Software Development (AI) Internship Program

Scope

As an AI and Data Engineer Intern at ZINAD, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced engineering team on various AI and data-driven projects. You will contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of AI models and data pipelines to solve real-world problems and enhance our clients' experiences. This internship provides a platform for you to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting and develop your skills in AI and data engineering.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop AI Models: Assist in the design, implementation, and training of machine learning and deep learning models to address business needs.
  2. Data Pipeline Engineering: Participate in the design, building, and optimization of data pipelines to collect, clean, and prepare data for AI model training and analysis.
  3. Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis and assist in identifying patterns and insights that inform model development.
  4. Model Evaluation and Validation: Evaluate the performance of AI models using appropriate metrics and validate them with real-world data.
  5. Documentation: Document work processes, model development, data pipelines, and analysis to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
  7. Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest developments in AI and data engineering, and bring new insights and ideas to the team.
Requirements
  1. Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  2. Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java. Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
  3. Data Knowledge: Understanding of data management and data preprocessing techniques, including data cleaning and transformation.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  7. Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  8. Availability: Availability to work a minimum number of hours per week as agreed upon for the internship duration.
